Trill
There was a really dangerous atmosphere which was indicated
by the setting and lighting. the setting was slightly isolated and dark which
made it look dangerous. started off with high key lighting to indicate the day
time and gradually changed to low key to create shadows and show the vilian.
top lighting on the protagonist to accentuate features. The props created
iconography(barthes) which created enigma codes(barthes). Action codes also
used showing violence was to follow.
Jet Blue Jet
Kacper made an
outstanding and professional music video to an Electronica genre music. The
narrative was a mix between basketball practice and a house party and it was
very well put together. Some advanced editing techniques and styles were used
in the video, some of the techniques are used in the proper music videos for
some of the worlds most famous artists. He used a variety of shots and angles,
which fulfills the techniques a professional music video should have, he had
close-up's of some of the members of the party to show their emotion being at a
house party. He used long/medium shots for the basketball scenes to show the
whole setting and the whole character/s while they were playing the sport. A
variety of lighting techniques were also used, darker scenes for the party
footage and more brighter footage for the basketball scenes. It was a
very good music video and was one of the best produced this year,
Bastille Of The Night
I really liked this cinematography as i think the video
worked really well with the music. It was a simple idea that seemed to work
really well. The editing was sped up to make it seem really blurry and cool. I
liked that this was different to any of the other videos. The setting was also
quite ambitious and tied in really well. It didn't use much props nor equipment.
